The Birth of Black Olive
I founded Black Olive because I knew leadership development could be more effective.
Working closely with leaders, I have seen development solutions insufficiently connected to real leadership challenges, even within world-class business schools.
I believed there was a better way.
Black Olive was created to challenge thinking and work alongside organisations as a true partner in leadership development.
The name reflects that belief. The olive tree is one of the most resilient and enduring in nature, shaped over time and rooted in strength. The black olive, left on the tree the longest, represents depth, maturity, and insight.
Nature reminds us that growth takes time, energy, and the right conditions. Leadership is no different.
For me, this is about looking beyond standard models and reconnecting with principles that are often overlooked. Building leadership capability with depth. Creating space for reflection. Supporting leaders to grow in a way that is sustainable and grounded.
